About burnishing

Burnishing is chemical blacking: The complete surface of the Machine Lights will be burnished by hand in a time sharing process. In several production steps the steel components will be coated with a burnishing liquid for chemical blacking to achieve a black oxidation. This process needs up to three times to wash off, dry and polish with extra fine steel wool until the surface of the steel has a black oxidation and a silky shining.
